“The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you, the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6: 22-27 ).

While I am still basking in the warm memories of the Silver Jubilee of my meeting with the late Pope John Paul II on 9th February 1986, at Shivaji Park, at the Public Mass and Rally, I realise that we are well into the end of the month of February 2011..and it is YET ANOTHER a special time for me.

I will be accompanying a group of Pilgrims to the Holy Land and Jordan, for a Pligrimage from 20th February to 27th February. You will all be remembered in prayer at the Holy Places and do keep us all pilgrims in your prayers as well. God Bless.. and thank you.

 A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A GOD-FILLED NEW YEAR

You have been a very important part of my life and as a Priest, I feel privileged to count you as one of my friends.. I couldn’t  thank God  Almighty enough for YOU….!!

The year 2010- has indeed been an eventful one for me and my family and my parish.

On the personal front, In 2010, I completed the 54^th year of my life and existence and I have my dear ( late) parents – my mum and dad – to thank for that grace. My brothers and (late) sister are there in the circle of my life, as are other family, relatives and friends……

13^th April 2010 was also the Silver Jubilee of my Priestly Ordination…and immensely fulfilling day in terms of the liturgy, celebrations, thanksgiving and of love, that you all poured out on me… a very tangible  expression of our God’s love for me and us all…!!

On the family front, I have to thank God for my brothers whom the Lord has gifted me. Each one of them in their own way are a blessing to me. Their families are a support that I can always count on and they bring joy into my life. My nephews and nieces are a part of my world. Bonnie, Ophelia, Nancy and Nestor are my joy indeed…!! Kenneth survives and is in our prayers. God Bless them always.

My eldest brother Xavier and his wife Iris, celebrated their 25^th Wedding Anniversary on 28^th September 2010… God Bless them and their children Norton and Nolan.

Roy, my second brother retired from his employment of over 35 years at “Times of India” and his daughter Natasha gave birth to a baby-girl on 20th december..so Roy and Nellie become Grandparents..and I become a grand-uncle. Natasha's baby is the first great-grandchild in the NORRIS family....Bless you Lord...!!

On the parish front, we are closer to achieving our dream of our very own Church “ in God’s good time”….we have crossed important milestones on this journey and please God, .. give us  a Church..!

I look forward to a peaceful and happy New Year 2011… it will be ..!! God’s time is blessed indeed. My fervent prayer and wish for you is that you will always be under the Providential care of God and the healing love of Jesus Christ our Lord and the protection and intercession of Our Blessed Mother.
